What is Involved in Becoming a Surrogate Mother
Melissa and her husband are parents of twin boys and a daughter delivered via a gestational carrier (often times referred to as a surrogate mother). A gestational carrier is a woman who carries a child conceived through the process of in-vitro fertilization where the child is not biologically related to the carrier. Eggs used will be fertilized outside of the woman's body and the resulting embryos placed in the uterus of a gestational carrier. This medical procedure will take place at an IVF facility selected by the intended parents. If a pregnancy results, the gestational carrier and intended parents will work together with our office to ensure a happy and healthy delivery. This differs from a traditional surrogacy arrangement where the surrogate mother supplies the egg and is the biological mother of the child she delivers.
Reproductive Possibilities, LLC locates gestational carriers and manages gestational carrier arrangements exclusively, though we use the more common term of surrogate mother elsewhere on our site. Our goal is to match you with intended parents for the journey ahead. You will have the opportunity to learn more about our potential parents and speak with them prior to matching.
Surrogate Mother Expectations
Once your application is received, it will be reviewed and one of our coordinators will contact you to set up an interview. During this interview, we will review your application in detail with you, and answer all questions that you may have about this process. Once your surrogate mother application is accepted, we will begin sharing your profile with intended parents.
Becoming a Surrogate Mother
When your profile is selected by intended parent(s) we will contact you to share a letter and photo of the intended parents. If you are interested in the particular match we will schedule a conference call so that you can all learn more about each other and see if you would like to move further with the match. We will guide you every step of the way!

Surrogate Mother Testimonials
Dear Prospective Parents
My journey to become a carrier took me 3 1/2 years of serious thought. Upon completion of my own family, I started to think of helping a family who was not as blessed as I was. When my last daughter was born, I contacted Melissa's office. They sent me a complete package that answered most of my questions. However, I was not yet ready to start the journey. About another year after that, I again, contacted Melissa's office and once again, received the information I requested. As before, I read through it and decided it was not yet time. A year ago, in February, I again called the office. I had just turned 41 and knew there were age requirements. If I waited much longer, I would not be eligible for the program. Again, the information was sent to me. This time, I responded. Mailing that profile back was a huge step for me. I was contacted a few days later and the journey began. Melissa's office always responded to my calls and gave me any information, guidance and time that I needed. They directed me in the right way for all the testing, paperwork, so forth. I was placed with a couple that met all my expectations and made this experience exactly what I anticipated it to be.
For anyone who is considering a surrogate or being a carrier, I highly recommend Melissa's service. Melissa, as well as her staff, are competent, efficient and extremely supportive. Outside of my own family, this experience has been a high point in my life. The final reward was watching the Parents meet their daughter for the first time. In 2004 I was able to bless another family with twins. A dream that was once only a dream was made possible by the resources provided by Melissa's expertise. I regret not acting on my intuitions the first time; I would have had more time to help other families. If you have the desire to do this, pursue it, you will not regret it.
Dear Prospective Parents
I have used Melissa Brisman's office in my quest to become a gestational surrogate since the winter of 2000. I found her application packet to be thorough and she quickly responded to my submission with a phone call. I was matched with a couple rather quickly and Melissa and her office staff were quick to answer my questions and concerns about the matching process. They made the contract phase as easy as could be and were always available through phone or e-mail. Through Melissa I was able to bless two families with a total of five children (singleton in 2001, twins in 2003 and twins in 2005) that they once only dreamed of.
After hearing of some other carrier's bad experience's with other attorneys in the New England area and throughout the US I am very pleased with the treatment I received by Melissa's office and would highly recommend her to other carriers and intended parents alike. Surrogacy can be a stressful journey at times and Melissa did everything possible to make the journey smooth.
Talk to your friends and family members about how wonderful your gestational pregnancy experience was and encourage them to become a carrier too! Have them call our office for a surrogate mother application and make sure that they put your name in the Referral Section of the form!
After they sign a contract with their Intended Parents you will receive $500.00. The remaining $500.00 is paid as soon as embryo transfer is complete.
How the Surrogate Referral Program Works
Refer as many friends as you want. No limit on referrals as long as potential carriers pass all screening and get to the transfer stage. Make sure they do not forget to put your name on their initial application under the section: Who referred you to our office?
Remember: Your name must be on the initial surrogate mother application to receive your referral fee!
